ABOUT US
The Health Innovation Alliance is a consortium of leading healthcare organizations.
Dedicated to advancing innovation, accelerating economic development, and strengthening the region’s position as a national center for healthcare and longevity leadership.
Through strategic collaboration, investment in emerging technologies, and industry-wide engagement, the Health Innovation Alliance works to address shared challenges and shape the future of healthcare. Its members represent some of the most influential organizations in the sector, united around a mission to improve health outcomes, promote healthy aging and longevity, support workforce development, and foster a thriving regional healthcare economy.
THE STATE OF REGIONAL HEALTHCARE
The healthcare sector in the Louisville region has over 97,000 jobs and generates an additional 114,000 jobs that directly support the sector, representing more than 211,000 jobs.
Healthcare generated $17 billion in direct economic output, with an additional $20 billion generated from related industries — together accounting for over $37 billion, or more than one-third, of Louisville’s $98 billion GDP.
Through $2 billion in local, state, and federal tax contributions, the healthcare sector plays a vital role in sustaining and strengthening our communities.
